Deregistration – how to avoid daily fees
When you deregister your vehicle with The Danish Motor Vehicle Agency following a sale or scrapping, it may take some time before the deregistration is registered with DFIM.
It is therefore important that you submit documentation to DFIM as soon as possible. Please note that we can only process your documentation once the vehicle has been deregistered with The Danish Motor Vehicle Agency
It may take between 4–21 days before the vehicle is shown as deregistered in the Motor Register. During this period, you may be charged daily fees. Please note that daily fees are also charged on weekends and public holidays.
